This morning I got my braces off. I'm so happy!

Technology
I think The Veldt was a strange story. I could not understand why the children would want to kill their parents just because they threatened to turn off their futuristic house. The smart house actually ties their shoes for them and fixes their dinner. Today I have to put my shoes on my feet and tie them myself. Also, I either have to fix my own dinner or ask my mother to cook me some. Those children are the most rotten, spoiled children I have ever read about.

Today, people have the first stage of smart house technology. Smart houses reduce the amount of work done by turning lights on or off and automatically opening doors or windows. This is all be done through technology wired in the house. Bill Gates, who started Microsoft, has a smart house that cost 113 million the build.

Iin The Gift, a family travels on a family vacation in a rocket ship on Christmas Eve to another planet. That's a lot different than today where it cost about $16 billion to explore space and you could take a space tour which cost about $200,000 . I would be amazed if that happened to me, instead of wondering about whether your parents remembered to take along the gift they bought you on Christmas like they kids in The Gift did.

In All Summer in a Day, a group of kids are at school doing their regular studies, but the school is in an underground city on Venus. We usually don't think about people inhabiting Venus today because the surface temperature is 750 degrees Fahrenheit and it is made up of nearly 97 carbon dioxide. I guess that's why they were in an underground city.

In The Dwarf, a dwarf comes to a carnival everyday to look in the room of mirrors. He likes the mirrors because the mirrors make him look bigger. When he sees a new mirror that makes him look smaller he steals a pistol and kills himself. Today, a lot of local carnivals have mirror rooms. They are fun to visit because they let you pretend to be someone else.
